Alyssum Saxatile (Felsen-Steinkraut)

Another fabulous flower that grows in my Garden is the Golden Alyssum or Alyssum Saxatile which blossoms from April till May with its radiant yellow blossoms. The plant grows upright up to 40 cm. It needs permeable soil in a sunny location and it doesn't need much care. Nevertheless, to maintain its compact form, a trim down after the blossom is recommended.

It is winter hard up - 20 degrees and may be propagated readily from seed sown in the fall or from tip cuttings taken in late spring and early summer.  The one shown in the picture are just tip cuttings which I planted last summer.
