Irish Moss
The Irish moss or Heath Pearlwort (Sagina subulata) is an upholsterer-shaped garden plant which is suitable ideally as a shrub. It forms thick carpets and shows numerous small, white blossoms. Because the plant is very step-resistant, it can be used very well to greening the pathways.
Choose sunny to half-shady location for the plant, the ground should be permeable. The plant prefer a bit moist ground, If it is planted in a very sunny place, consider to water it more often to prevent soil dryness. Irish Moss is winter-hardy up to -20 degrees and it blooms from June until August and it is a good source of food for bees and butterflies.
