Symphyotrichum novi-belgii (Herbstastern)

I was in my Garden this sunny afternoon and saw that my Astern blooms!

What a nice view!

Symphyotrichum novi-belgii also known as New York aster is a winter-hardy plant that blooms in Autumn with her numerous blossoms and highlights your garden especially when all other flowers starts to fade...

This flower provides with her strikingly shining blossoms in luminous colors especially in autumn. From August to October the garden plant produces numerous rays-shaped blossoms. Their chromatic circle reaches from white through Rose and Violet up to blue.

The frost-hard garden plants love sunny, bright locations. Plant the asters in humosen, permeable soils rich in nutrient and see to it that the soil is humid.

If you have not cut back the perennials during fall, the foliage serves as a protection against the cold winter. Pruning can be still done in spring. Additionally, you can provide the perennials with winter protection.
