Goulash (Gulasch)

Goulash is a soup or stew of meat, noodles and vegetables, seasoned with paprika and other spices. It originates from Hungary and a favorite dish in Europe. 

Like beef stew it is cooked in low to medium heat for hours to make it more flavorful. 

First you have to slice the meat into bite size, heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the meat, seasoned with salt and pepper, add the tomato paste and medium size onion sliced into strips. Stir until the onion turns light brown and put in a little wine. Add water and let it simmer until the meat is tender, stirring once in a while and also adding tomate paste and wine if needed. Seasoned it salt and pepper. 

 

Serve  with red cabbage and croquette.
