Osso Bucco ala Lottie

One of my favorite Osso Bucco, just learned it from a famous Chef and tried it.  Although I haven't used veal, I choose the low-cost variation using beef schanks instead.  It is anyway very delicious!

Ingredients:

3 pcs. Beef Schanks
Salt and Pepper
Flour
Butter oil
Garlic
Onions
Celery
Carrots
Tomato Paste
Water
White Wine
Green Olives (optional)
Capers (optional)
Basil
 

1.  Seasoned the beef schanks with Salt and Pepper. 

2.  Coat the beef with flour.

3.  Heat butter oil and fry them until golden brown. Set aside.

4.  Using the same pan, add a little butter oil if needed then sáute the garlic, onions, celery and carrots. 

5.  Then add the tomato paste, water, white wine, capers, green olives and a handful basil.

6.  Seasoned with salt and pepper.

7.  Add the beef schanks. Cover and put it in the oven at 200 degrees for about 2 hours or until the beef is tender.

Garnish with chopped Parsley. Serve while hot!
