Beef Adobo

Beef Adobo - a traditional Filipino food. Adobo or Adobar (Spanish: marinade, sauce, or seasoning). Its delicious, of course in combination with rice -:)

Ingredients:

700g - 1 kilo Beef 
2 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
1 medium sliced onion
2 -3 tbsp Soya sauce
2 -3 tbsp Oyster sauce
1 tbsp sugar
2 cups water
Parsley, basil or Spring onions for garnishing
 

1.  Cut the beef in desired sizes. Heat oil in a pan.  Fry the beef until golden brown. Sprinkle them with salt and pepper. 

2.  Put them in a pressure cooker.  Using the same pan, saúte garlic and ginger paste.  
     Add the onions, soya sauce, oyster sauce, sugar. Fry them for 2 -3 minutes.

3.  Add the sauce to the pressure cooker.  Add some water.  Cover and cook it until the beef is tender.

4.  Open the lid and let it boil it for a while.  You can serve it directly or let it cook further until the sauce has thickened or almost dry.

5.  Garnish it either with Parsley, basil or spring onions.
