Mongolian Beef

Mongolian Beef with Bell Pepper and garnished with spring onions and sesame seeds.

Serve it with hot rice or canton noodles. Awesome!

Here's what you need:

500g Beef Tenderloin of shank cut into thin slices
Salt and Pepper to taste
Flour for coating the beef
1 green bell Pepper cut into thin slices
Sesame seeds for garnishing
Spring Onions for garnishing
4-5 cloves garlic paste
4-5 tsp brown sugar (more or less depending on your taste)
oil for frying
2 tbsp sesame oil
3/4 cup soya sauce
1 tbsp flour or cornstarch dissolve in water

1. Sprinkle the beef with salt and pepper.

2. Put them in a plastic ware, pour on some flour, cover and shake well to coat the beef slices well.

3. In a non-stick pan, heat enough oil and fry them in batches so that they will stick to each other. Set aside

4. Pour out excess oil from the pan and leave a little bit oil and sauté the green bell pepper for a few minutes and set aside.

5. Using the same pan, heat the sesame oil, sauté the garlic paste, then add the soya sauce, sugar. Let it simmer for a while.

6. Add the cornstarch mixture, let it boil and then add the fried beef. Simmer for a while.

7. Now add the bell pepper, mix well and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes and serve.

8. You can serve it with rice or canton noodles (see cooking preparations).
