Bavarian State Spa Bad Brückenau (Staatsbad Bad Brückenau)

I live here for about 17 years but I haven't still seen many historic places and points of interest in Germany.  So, I think it is time to explore more about Germany and its beauty.

Our next trip was a small town named Bad Brückenau. As we arrived in our Hotel, we were astonished that we are the only guest in the Hotel and the owner said that their Restaurant is only open from Wednesday till Sunday.  In Summer season? No way! But that is the truth, he said that some Restaurants in the town have closed and only some Italian Bistro and Turkish restaurants are open.  Though Bad Brückenau is a very nice place but the town is dying.  There are no jobs. The Hotel staffs told us that young people find their luck in the next bigger Ciry to study and later live there. Though we were a bit sad about what we heard, there is no reason to ruined our trip.  So, the next day after we ate our breakfast, we drove to a very nice and quiet place in Bad Bruckenau named Bavarian State Spa Bad Brückenau or Staatsbad Bad Brückenau.

The garden was so beautiful and is simply relaxing. The Historical buildings around the Castle Park are very interesting. An ideal point for short and pleasant walk around the park. You can also find a playground and a small animal park for the children.

We will surely comeback here and spent a relaxing day in the beautiful park with all its beauty.winkyes

Three Filipinas were very eager, had the guts and took a vacation in Rome. It was our first time to travel without our husbands and we were very happy we did it alone. It was a very nice and interesting experience. We saw a lot of Filipinos there, although we didn't had the chance to make a long chat but it was nice to see Pinoys in other country. We are definitely all over the world!devil

The Spanish Steps

One interesting fact is that you can drink water everywhere Rome for free. They have installed mostly in every corner drinking water so you can just fetch some to drink and can continue walking through the city.  A nice very gesture from the people in Rome. Thank you.yes

Filipinos love to make pictures, to show the world where they travel, what they do and post it in netz!sadsadcool So there we are, made a pose together with the dressed up Romans (see picture below) and the best things was, we were charged 5€ each! So just be careful and ask them first how much it would cost before you make a picture! Or else it would be expensive for you! Lessoned learned.laugh

A very important tip for those who wants to visit churches especially the Vatican. It is not allowed to wear undecent clothing even sleeveless tops are prohibited. So if you want to go inside a church in Rome you must wear proper dress code otherwise you must stay outside.yes

Filipinos are always hungrylaugh. After indulging our lunch in a restaurant, as we rode home in the afternoon, we went to the Supermarket located in the Central Railway Station and bought some food on our way to the hotel.  This way, it was really not so expensive for us and have some extra money for our shopping spree!cheeky What else, Souvenier is very important!cheeky

May was the perfect time to travel. It was not overcrowded as it is not yet Summer time and also it was not so warm. Of course a vacation with three Filipinas? You can just imagine we had a lot of fun!laughlaughlaugh

If you visit London, there are several places that you must see.  The good thing is that they are near to each other and you don't have to go far to see the best in London. You can take the Sightseeing Bus and it will take you to the most important places without any hassle. Just sit, listen to the audio (history) and enjoy the ride.

If you choose to take a ride on the London Eye, visit Madam Tussauds and the Museums, it would be advisable to buy tickets ahead of time to prevent long lines. The best time is either in May or June, since it is not so crowded. I mean it is still crowded but not much compared to the Summer season. Of course if you imperatively wants to visit the Buckingham Palace, then you have to go there in Sommer from August to September - the only accessible time for the public.

The changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace is a nice event.  You can check the schedules here:

I must say, London is a nice place to make a short vacation. I mean short because I myself prefer more landscapes though London has its own beauty.  The Green park sorrounding the Buckingham Palace, the Hyde Park and of course the River Thames which flows in the middle of London.  All of these Landmarks makes London a very interesting place to visit.

Sanssouci Potsdam

During our trip to Berlin we also visited Sanssouci in Potsdam. Sanssouci is a former summer palace of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia in Potsdam, near Berlin.

A large park surrounds the palace with lots of trees, different kinds of plants and flowers. It took us about an hour (stop and go) before we reached the end of the park but it was worth it.

I can still remember that my sister took a step in the Chinese House (see below) a garden pavilion in Sanssouci Park, suddenly the serene was on and a loud voice said "Entrance is prohibited, you are not allowed to enter this area!" All of us were surprise and she automatically jumped out of the fence and we all burst together to laughter, laughing out loud! It was a very funny moment! cheekydevilcheeky

Around Lake Constance (Bodensee)

Lake Constance (German: Bodensee) is a lake on the Rhine at the northern foot of the Alps, and consists of three bodies of water: the Obersee ("upper lake"), the Untersee ("lower lake"), and a connecting stretch of the Rhine, called the Seerhein. The lake is situated in Germany, Switzerland and Austria near the Alps.

Places of Interest around Lake Constance:

Mainau is a "flowering island" notable for its parks and gardens. Frederick I, Grand Duke of Baden, created the island's arboretum, which now contains 500 species of deciduous and coniferous trees. The island also contains about 200 rhododendron and azalea varieties.

The Italian Rose Garden laid out geometrically with pergolas, sculptures, and fountains, and includes some 500 rose varieties. The Mediterranean terraces contain exotic pot plants, including palm trees, agaves, cacti, and Bougainvillea. The island as a whole contains about 30,000 rose bushes representing 1,200 varieties, and about 20,000 dahlias of 250 varieties.

The Rhine Falls (Rheinfall in German) is the largest plain waterfall in Europe.

Pfahlbaumuseum Unteruhldingen (German for 'Stilt house museum') is an archaeological open air museum on Lake Constance (Bodensee) in Unteruhldingen, Germany, consisting of reconstructions of stilt houses or lake dwellings from the Neolithic Stone Age and Bronze Age.

There are more nice spots around the lake, great restaurants and a nice boat trip on the lake will make it perfect, you can even take a ferry which will take you to Switzerland, on the next boundary is Austria, so three nations in one vacation!
